South Asian Institute of Technology(SAIT) is an academic institiution founded in 2001 to help meet the growing demand of quality education, aims to build close partnership with industry and academic communities for advanced learning to meet the need for better trained personnel who will be able to meet professional challenges.

SAIT is affiliated to Purbanchal University(PU), an autonomous national university empowered to award degrees in higher education in Nepal. SAIT has been instrumental to launch PU's master degree programs in Computer Applications(MCA) in 2001, and Regional Development & Management and Rural Development Planning & Gender Studies in 2003.
